How to Listen to & Watch Podcasts

NOTICE to new users:
This is an Audio/Video Download Site designed for Internet Radio/TV.   You can listen when you want, where you want and interruptions are not an issue.

Click on any show to listen directly or right click, save as, to put on your computer, mp3, or video player.
Get these "automagically" placed into your iTunes by subscribing for free.

Subscriptions:
Subscribing is the best way and costs nothing (so far podcasting is too new to charge a fee to listeners.  Revenue generating podcasts are paid by advertisers, not the public). You still want to "subscribe" because this is how the shows pop up in your device without you having to go and get them each time.
iTunes is the easiest way to subscribe but there are other "aggregators" out there like iPodder, Blogger, and many more.  If you do not use iTunes, you will need this xml url for our audio shows: http://www.podchick.com/podchick.xml

And for our Videos use this xml feed:
     iPod/iTunes format (.m4v) http://www.podchick.com/podchickm4v.xml
     Windows format (.wmv) http://www.podchick.com/podchickwmv.xml
     QuickTime format (.mov) http://www.podchick.com/podchickmov.xml

Most aggregators will ask for this and you can just paste it in.

If you use iTunes, you can just click on these direct links to the PodChick show.  You will be walked through the process. These are also under construction.

When you "subscribe", you are telling an aggregator (like iTunes) to identify when a new show has been posted, download it to your computer automatically, and post it on your portable device (if you have one).  Depending how you set it up, you can keep old shows or have them removed for you as new ones come in.  It's all customized for your lifestyle... by you!

I have iTunes do this for me while I sleep at night so that when I get up, I take my iPod with me and on my way to work I listen to my favorite shows (perfect for my subway train ride).  Other days I take my video iPod to the gym and watch videos while I run on the treadmill.  Once you set this up, you'll wonder how you did without it.  It's absolutely AMAZING!

Individual Audio Shows:

Each one of these icons represents a specific show and is AUDIO ONLY (mp3). If you have subscribed to PodChick, all new mp3 files that PodChick produces will be automatically sent to your computer/device when they are posted.  If you are only interested in one particular show, you can:
 1. Click on the "mp3" icon, like this one, located next to the show you are interested in and wait for it to download and begin playing.  Your system should recognize the required application and launch automatically.
or
 2. Right click on the "mp3" icon, like this one, located next to the show you are interested in and then "save as" to any location in your computer

Depending on your connection speed, it may take some time to download these files.  Please be patient.  To avoid these wait times, use iTunes to do the work for you while you're sleeping.
Ask me how!

I find earphones to be a good idea as the sound quality is usually better (and if you're at work, others are not disturbed)
